Poly Effects Verbs is a convolution reverb pedal that catapults your synthesizers into spaces all over the world.
The convolution reverb world tour offers 48 "stations" that are organized in different categories, each with 8 presets and eight additional slots for your own creations. These include the impulse response of the world's longest reverb from a former Royal Navy oil depot in Scotland and several impulse responses from gear-hero Hainbach. In addition, caves, decommissioned nuclear reactors and tunnels, as well as churches and temples around the world have also been "transferred" to the handy pedal. There is also a selection of reverb classics (Lexicon 480L, EMT 140, AKG BX20, Roland Space Echo RE-201). There is also a series of "Irregular Reverbs", i.e. impulse responses from rain, a bathtub or a spinning coin. The whole thing is rounded off by a selection of impulse responses from real concert locations, more of which can be downloaded from the Poly Effects website and easily imported into the device.
To optimize the sound, Verbs provides a number of parameters that adapt the signal even better to its respective area of application: Onset controls the pre-delay (time interval between the dry signal and the onset of the reverb tail), Mix takes care of the reverb level, while Low-Cut simulates the old Abbey Road studio trick of sending only the high signal components into the reverb universe. The Smoosh parameter is something very special: it warps the respective presets with different versions of themselves, a dream for sound design and sound research. There is also full MIDI control, two footswitches (hold and bypass), true bypass and a USB connection
