Eastwood Airline Folkstar Red ( 2012 ) Mint Condition w/ Original Case
Airline Folkstar Red ( 2012 ) Mint Condition w/ Original Case
The original Folkstar model was released under the Airline and Supro brand names, and the design was a nod to the Valco founders’ past, producing resonator guitars under the moniker of National. Here’s an excerpt from a 1964 catalogue:
“Featuring… Hootenanny’s Newest Star. Now in a modern fiberglass body, Supro offers the famous grandpappy of Hill Country guitar music!
The most powerful non-electric guitar of them all!
The original self-amplified guitar. A beloved friend of the early folk/country artists.”
Our modernized Folkstar is reproduced with a tone-chambered mahogany body rather than the tone-choking original fiberglass, and a blend knob that allows you to transition between a NY Mini Humbucker in the neck position and a piezo in the bridge.
The Folkstar is a sure way to turn heads with a rainbow of unique resonant tones.
